Your LINk for improving health and social care

Quality Account responses from Medway LINk

All providers of NHS acute, mental health, learning disability and ambulance healthcare services are required to prepare an Annual Quality Account, with the first one being presented in respect of the financial year 2009 / 2010.  In Medway this included Medway Maritime Hospital, South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAmb), the acute ambulance service, and Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT).

The LINk has the opportunity to review each Trust's draft Quality Account.  Medway LINk collaborated with Canterbury Christ Church University to provide the opportunity for participants and harder-to-reach groups to give feedback through focus groups and individual interviews.  Their comments were then consolidated into a 500 word statement, which was included in the final published documents.

You can find summary reports of the work which was carried out by the LINk and links to the full Quality Account documents on the LINk website at:  http://www.themedwaylink.co.uk/index.php?q=22

If you would like a hard copy of the LINk summary reports please contact the LINk central office.  To obtain a hard copy of the full Quality Account document please contact the relevant Trust.
